Evening Clinic - Extended Access Service

From week commencing 26 November 2018 the above service will be delivered at:-

Belvoir Vale Surgery, Bottesford     6.30pm-8.30pm    Thursday

There will be a clinician session and nursing session running with appointment availability at an increased level to accommodate the same level of appointments previously offered.

The last Monday clinic will take place on 19 November 2018.

We will assess the level of uptake over the coming months.

Information Notice

Repeat Prescriptions - we have reverted back to two full working days for repeat orders.  In accordance with NHS guidance repeat prescriptions are, in general, issued as a one month supply.

Belvoir Vale Surgery has now merged with The Welby Practice

As there are two sites in Bottesford we will refer to the practice as The Wellby Practice with the site name as Belvoir Vale or Welby Bottesford, the other locations are known as Harlaxton and Waltham.

You will notice some changes e.g. The Welby Practice header on letters, etc.

You will be able to book appointments with GPs, ANP, NP, Nurses and HCAs across all the sites.

Dr James Thompson (m)

BM MRCGP DRCOG (2005 Southampton) (Registered Manager/GP Partner)

Dr Thompson joins us our Managing Clinical Partner.  He was born in Ascot and qualified in Southampton in 2005, Dr Thompson is a member of the Cancer Research Primary Care Advisory Group and is also involved in medical education and regularly contributes to magazine health-related articles.  Dr Thompson is recently married and enjoys keeping himself fit.

Dr Jerry Thompson (m)

MBBS, MRCP, MRCGP (Salaried GP)

Qualified at Newcastle University in 1975 and worked for several years in hospital medicine before becoming a GP partner in Langley and Slough in 1983.

He is a qualified member of the British Society of Ecological Medicine and has interests in environmental medicine, nutrition and mind-body medicine. He has a long-standing interest in people who recover from major illnesses against the odds.

He is married with two grown-up sons.

Dr Agata Piotrowska

Agata obtained her degree in medicine from the Medical University of Lodz in 2003 and has been a GP since 2011.  Agata has ten years experience of working in primary care setting.  Agata moved to Aberdeen from Poland in June 2015.  She enjoys travelling and scrapbooking.  Agata has a daughter.

Dr Jessica Jones

Jessica obtained her degree from the University of Leicester in 2011 and completed her junior doctor years in Somerset before returning to the East Midlands for GP training. Before pursuing medicine she qualified as a physiotherapist.  She has an interest in obstetrics and gynaecology.

She is married with a son and is passionate about cooking in her spare time.

Dr Andrew Barber (m)

Andrew obtained his medical degree at the University of Nottingham in 2009.  Prior to pursuing medicine Andrew completed a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology at the University of Liverpool 2001.  Andrew has specialist interest with joint injections, minor surgery and diabetes.  Andrew has a keen interest in photography, films and outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, walking and more recently sailing.  Andrew is married with two young daughters.
